Kantha

My latest work has hand painted images which have been outlined in machine stitch. The background is then densely hand quilted in Kantha style.

Patchwork

A selection of quilted work, both pieced and appliqued. The work shows a mixture of machine and hand stitched.

Houses

This is some current work being developed with the theme of houses. Mixed media, hand dyed fabrics and some additional synthetics.

This work is machine and hand stitched through a minimum of four layers of tissue paper. As Honesty seed cases are so paper like in quality it seemed very appropriate to work with them too. A combination of hand and machine stitch. working with tissue paper requires a very delicate touch and a great deal of patience!
